Eyelid surgery improves the appearance and shape of the lower and / or upper eyelids achieving a more pleasant, lively and youthful expression.
The procedure consists of extracting the excess skin from the upper and/or lower eyelids and the fat pockets that cause a sad and tired expression. The extra skin tightening produces a younger, more awake look. The incisions are made in the natural creases of the eyelids, to make the scar invisible to the eye.
This surgery is done under local anesthesia. Its duration is approximately 45 minutes to 2.5 hours and it is ambulatory (you can leave at the end of the surgery). The suture threads are removed during the first week. The patient may feel a kind of hardness in the eyelids for the first three weeks or so. If you are a foreigner you must stay 7 days after the surgery.
