Gynecomastia is caused by excess glandular tissue, fat, or both. It is associated with obesity problems, liver disease, hormonal imbalance or medical causes.
The result is a firmer and flatter chest. The surgery is done under local anesthesia and sedation. It is usually an outpatient surgery but in some cases, the patient must remain under care, in the recovery room for 1 night. Foreign patients must stay in the country for 7 days.
This surgery is done under local anesthesia. Its duration is approximately 45 minutes to 2.5 hours and it is ambulatory (you can leave at the end of the surgery). The suture threads are removed during the first week. The patient may feel a kind of hardness in the eyelids for the first three weeks or so. If you are a foreigner you must stay 7 days after the surgery.
